i have a friend who is interested in pharmacy school. she's always lived in tx, and is looking for a pharm school in the north/northeast

i don't know about the reputations of many colleges of pharmacy outside of texas, so i'm hoping some of y'all can help her out. these are some of the schools she's asking about: midwester university, illinois;  university of illinois, chicago;  massachusettes college of pharm;  northeaster;  rutgers;  long island;  temple;  st john's;  union university in albany;  wilkes;  philadelphia.....just to name a few.

any and all help is greatly appreciated, i'll just pass the info on to her.

I'm a new member to this community, but I've been reading it for a while now. My name is A.J., P2 at UH (delta delta chapter, province 7). betterleftsaid  and soobuzzed  are 2 of my brothers and best friends. We just had our first function for our 24 pledges last night and it went really well (we don't have a rush period), I'm very pleased with our crop this year! 13 ladies, 11 gents, as soon as we get pics up I'll let you know.

As Jen has already mentioned, our chapter is also hosting Province this year and we're really looking forward to that. Everybody needs to show up because we are honestly going all-out, our GCD wants to spare no expense and wants to let the world know that we know how to throw down! (Plus its GCC this year so that has a lil to do with it).

I'm still kinda out of it right now, depressed about the UT-OU game this morning, so this entry is kinda bland but its my first, so be gentle. Think I'll watch a few simpsons dvds with some vodka, my patented cure-all combo.

You are invited to the 2004 Fall Province II Assembly October 29th-30th at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Beta Kappa has been quite busy planning and fundraising for this weekend-long event. This is just an informational letter with events planned, dates, and costs to help you prepare for the Assembly. More info is forthcoming.

Hotel: All events for Province, besides the opening social at the Beta Kappa house, will take place at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, including the meetings , lunch, and banquet on Saturday night. There are 20 rooms reserved, which can be adjusted if needed. The price is $99/night/room (2 double beds). These rooms are reserved under Kappa Psi until October 8th. Please call (412) 683-2040 or 1-877-662-6242 to make reservations.

Meetings: Registration for the assembly will be $45 and should be mailed to: Sara Waltenbaugh BK Regent 361 Atwood St. Pittsburgh, PA 15213. This should be received by October 18, 2004. If you wish to pay the registration fee when arriving at the assembly, the cost will be $55, which does include the catered lunch and dinner. Registration will take place starting at 8 am. There are many nearby restaurants and cafes including Bruegger’s Bagels, Kiva Han, and Panera Bread for those who wish to get breakfast before meetings begin at 9 am. At 12 pm we will break for a lunch buffet which will be catered by the Wyndham Garden Hotel. Following lunch, more meetings will take place and the chapter slide shows. We also will be having an event for pledges to attend, and we encourage all chapters to bring their pledges if they wish to do so.

Friday and Saturday nights: Friday night will be a Halloween Costume Party at the BK house, in which snacks, finger foods, and beverages will be provided. If you've never been to a Beta Kappa Halloween party, then you are in for a treat! Saturday night is the semi-formal banquet in the Wyndham Ballroom with a buffet dinner, awards presentation, a raffle, and of course a DJ and dancing afterwards.

If you have any questions or would like to let me know an approximate number of brothers and pledges planning to attend from your chapters, please email Steph Harriman, Province Chair, at smh33@pitt.edu.
» Hey!!
Based on urging by my roommate and Kappa Psi brother Gabriel Stillabower (Father Jon), I've decided to make an introductory post. My name's Jonathan Egel and like Father Jon, you might have guessed it, I too attend Butler University COPHS!! Province V in the house!!! Father Jon, myself (Dr. Drew)and the rest of the Beta Upsilon brothers are going to rock Midyear. Perhaps there are some other members of Province V that are members of this community, if so, we hope to hear from you...

P.S. Drinkalizer, you're going to get a kick out of this....Dr. Love's my big!!! What are the odds of that!?!?! For those of you lurking on AOL my screen name is: Pengoighi feel free to im me...

Take care, hopefully some of you will be at midyear.

Fraternally,
Dr. Drew (Jonathan Egel)
» KY Shirts
Gamma Iota officially has the coolest Kappa Psi shirts this year...

A black t-shirt with "Kappa Psi" in small cartoon lettering where the pocket would be on the front.

On the back- a huge picture of Ralph (from the Simpsons) picking his nose, with the words "I Picked KY" underneath. Can't you just imagine him saying it?

I can't wait to wear it! What are other chapters doing?
